DVESTA Electric delivered the complete electrical and automation package for a new rail-mounted gantry (RMG) crane at a container terminal in Germany. The crane uses a Siemens control platform and connects directly to the terminal's systems.
The terminal receives real-time information about crane position, container pick-ups and set-downs. INXPECT radar safety sensors monitor the area around the crane, while AXIS cameras help operators maintain a clear view during handling operations.
Ergonomic Gessmann controls and an ELCA wireless remote support safe everyday operation and maintenance. The integrated solution improves visibility of terminal activities and helps keep container handling reliable and efficient.
